Ashok Leyland sales up 9.7% in June

New Delhi, Jul 3 (UNI) Hinduja Group's commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland today said it has reported a 9.7 per cent increase in June 2008 sales in terms of volume as compared to sales in the corresponding period last year.

During the month company sold 7,144 vehicles against 6,510 vehicles old in June 2007, it said in a statement.

The domestic sales grew by 10.6 per cent to 6,435 vehicles while exports improved marginally by 2.2 per cent to 709 vehicles, it added.
