American Centre celebrates on Independence Day eve

New Delhi, Jul 3 (UNI) Indians and Americans came together on the eve of the American Independence Day to celebrate 232 years of freedom here today.

Over 150 academicians, student leaders, Fulbright scholars, journalists and US embassy personel gathered at the American Centre here for the festivities.

The highlight of the evening was a performance by ''The Whiffenpoofs,'' Yale University's all-male a cappella (choral music sung without instruments) singing group.
