231 patients admitted due to rain-related ailments

Mumbai, Jul 3 (UNI) As many as 231 patients, suffering from various rain-related ailments, have been admitted to civic-run hospitals in the metropolis in the last 24 hrs.

According to civic officials, of the 231 patients, 135 have been admitted for fever, 51 for gastroenteritis, seven for leptospirosis and 38 for malaria.

At least 37 people have lost their lives due to monsoon-related illnesses in various hospital of the city, since the onset of monsoon this year.
