Vocation course for muslim girl students launched in Bihar
Patna, Jul 2 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today launched an innovative vocational course scheme for the girl students of the Muslim community to enable them in getting jobs.
Launching the scheme here, Mr Kumar said the state government was committed to upliftment of the muslim community as literacy level among them was very low.
The condition of the women in muslim community was all the more pathetic and with the new venture, their lot was expected to improve in coming days, he added.
'' In first phase of the vocational course named 'Hunar', 12,000 muslim girl students will get the training, while in second phase, more than 50,000 students would be imparted the same, '' Mr Kumar said adding the fund meant for the noble scheme had already been sanctioned.
The scheme would be implemented by the state Human Resources department in a joint venture with Nation Institute of Open Schooling under the guidance of Union Human Resources Development Ministry.
