SRM inks MoU with CEERI on research

Chennai, Jul 2 (UNI) Leading private educational institution SRM University today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani, to undertake joint research in the area of machine vision system for societal applications.

The MoU, with the University's Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and the School of Pharmacy, was signed by SRM University Vice-Chancellor P Sathyanarayanan and CEERI Director Chandrasekhar at the university campus in suburban Kattankulathur.

The MoU also envisages taking up joint sponsored research programmes in DSP/Embedded System Design and applications and the project proposals would be jointly formulated by the faculty and staff of the two institutions.

Under the MoU, the SRM College of pharmacy and CEERI would plan, coordinate, formulate, submit and undertake joint collaborative research projects, share the knowledge in the areas of expertise with respect to Pharmaceutical industries and traditional medicines through application of Chemometrics and spectroscopy instrumentation, support. They would also plan to carry out approved pharmacopia, inferential methods of chemometrics application work for analysis of identified materials, pharmaceutical products of Active Pharmacuetical Ingredient and work on new methods based on chemometrics for traditional medicinal products with object of feasibility study to submit project proposals to different funding agencies in collaborative mode.
