SP transfer order quashed by MP HC

Jabalpur, Jul 2: The Madhya Pradesh High Court has quashed the state government order transferring Shajapur Superintendent of Police J P Ahirwar.

Hearing a petition challenging the transfer, a division bench comprising Justices Deepak Mishra and S C Sinho quashed the order and set aside Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) ruling in this regard upholding the government order.

The court also directed the Police Establishment Board to decide within 10 days on the officer's transfer issue.

Petitioner's counsel Manoj Sharma told the court that the transfer was done within two years of posting in violation of the Supreme Court directive and requested that the order be cancelled.
