RSS supports VHP's call for 'Bharat Bandh'

Nagpur, July 2 (UNI) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today extended its support to the ''Bharat Bandh'' call by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) tomorrow to protest the Sri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) land issue.

The decision of the Jammu and Kashmir government to take back the land allotted to the board was a gross injustice to Hindus, an RSS spokesman said.

Describing the decision as deplorable, the spokesman demanded that the land be returned to the board.

It was the duty of all citizens to make the ''Bandh'' successful, the spokesman added.

Rashtra Sevika Samiti, the women's wing of the RSS, has also extended its support to ''Bandh''.
