Piramal Health buys German PlasmaSelect's unit

New Delhi, July 2 (UNI) Piramal Healthcare Ltd today said it has acquired Germany-based PlasmaSelect AG's Haemaccel Brands Group.

The company has signed an agreement with PlasmaSelect AG of Germany (PlasmaSelect) to acquire its polygeline-based blood plasma products marketed under the brand name 'Haemaccel' in 36 countries, it said in a statement.

Blood plasma expansion products are life-saving infusion pharmaceuticals that help maintain blood volume until blood transfusion can be administered to the patient in the event of blood loss.
