One more girl commit suicide in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 2: One more girl committed suicide in the Kashmir valley, where the trend of taking extreme step among the people has not come down even after the Muslim ulmas issued a fatwa against it.

Official sources said today a girl Shafeeqa Bano consumed some poisonous substance in her Wacherkhati Kralpora house in the frontier district of Kupwara.

However, other family members immediately took her to nearby Sub District hospital, where she died.

It was not immediately known why she took this extreme step, they said, adding that police has registered a case and started investigation.

Almost two people commit or attempt to commit suicide in the valley daily, despite a fatwa against it by the ulmas.
