OK Play to make mannequins; partners with Purform
New Delhi, Jul 2 (UNI) Leading plastic toy maker OK Play India Ltd today said it will foray into the Rs 500 crore mannequin market with its partnership with New Zealand-based Purform.
''We will now enter the niche market of mannequin manufacturing with the technical assistance from Purform,'' OK Play Managing Director Rajan Handa told reporters here.
The company, which also plans to enter the outdoor playground toy market, has signed an exclusive marketing, technical and manufacturing agreement with Purform towards this effect.
As per the deal, OK Play will manufacture and market Purform range of mannequins in India.
The company had earlier announced an investment of Rs 70 crore to set up three facilities in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. It already has a plant in Sohna in Haryana.
The company has been strengthening its presence in various verticals, which includes auto components (plastic fuel tanks, dashboards, seats and JCB roofs for tractors, LCVs and HCVs), water storage tanks, signages and telephone booths.
