NMU to go on strike from July 19
Tirupati, July 2 (UNI) In support of their four-point charter of demands, the National Mazdoor Union (NMU), the recognized union of the APSRTC, has decided to go on a two-day strike from July 19.
The decision was taken at a recent state-level convention held here, which also resolved to serve a strike notice on the management on July four in support of their demands.
Distributing the resolution copies to the media here, NMU State President M Nageswara Rao said all workers would go on strike after the notice was served to the management.
The demands include withdrawal of all hired buses from the APSRTC fleet, induction of new buses, regularization of contract and casual workers working in various departments and filling of all vacant posts.
