KCBC to continue protest against textbook
Kochi, Jul 2 (UNI) The Kerala Catholic Bishops' Council (KCBC) today decided to continue its stir until the state government withdrew the controversial class seven social studies textbook from the school curriculum.
In a statement here, KCBC spokesperson Stephen Alathara said the Council had given directions to all dioceses under it to continue the protest for the withdrawal of the textbook, which allegedly propagated atheism.
''The Council was also looking at forming a common protest platform, along with like-minded organisations of other religions who were against the textbook,'' he added.
The Council would also organise awareness and public meetings, and relay protests to make people aware of the shortcomings of the textbook.
