Businessmen protest jeweller's killing in UP district

Fatehpur, Jul 2: All the businessmen closed their establishments and boycotted work to protest the murder of a jeweller in the district.

The irked businessman said they would continue their agitation until the accused were caught.

Besides, the Bar Association supported protest and denied work.

Armed assailants had shot at jeweller Raju (23) in Khaga kotwali area, when he resisted their move of snatching his bag full of jewellery late yesterday, police said.

The wounded had succumbed on way to hospital.

Meanwhile, senior police officials said they have solved the murder and loot case and launched efforts to nab the criminals.
