Agitations continue on CS' remarks
Puducherry, Jul 2 (UNI) For the second sucessive day today,people from different constituencies organised agitations to condemn Chief Secretary Rakesh Bihari for his alleged objectionable remarks against the Council of Ministers here.
As many as 2,400 people courted arrest by organising road blockade and holding demonstrations at different places here.
Ozhukarai Municipality Chairman N S J Jayabal and several Councillors courted arrest holding demonstration in front of the collectorate at Saram defying police ban while Former Minister Theni C Jayakumar and others were arrested when they took out a procession to the Tashildar's Office at Villianur, near here.
People at Madagadippet,Bahour and several other places organised agitations and courted arrest.
