2 killed in road accident

Tirupati, July 2 (UNI) Two persons were killed and another seriously injured when the scooter in which they were travelling hit a stationary lorry near Balaji Dairy here today.

According to police, three persons were travelling on a scooter when it hit the lorry while proceeding to Tirupati on 150 By-Pass Road under MR Palli Police Station Limits.

Mr Krishnaiah (40) and M Subramanyam (42) died on the spot while another person, yet to be identified, was seriously injured.

He was shifted to Government Ruia Hospital here, police added.
