Uma threatens action against Haj houses
Indore, Jul 1 (UNI) Bharatiya Janshakti chief and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti has threatened to disrupt the functioning of Haj houses to protest revoking land allotment to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) by the Jammu and Kashmir government.
Speaking at a seminar on corruption here last night, she said though Muslims go to Mecca for pilgrimage, Haj houses had been built in every state.
''If the state government took back the land from the shrine board, then Haj houses would not be allowed to run,'' she claimed, adding that she also urged the Muslims to protest this decision.
Ms Bharti said there should be uniform policy in all religious matters.
