Two more dead due to rain-related diseases
Mumbai, Jul 1 (UNI) Two more people have died due to rain-related diseases in the Metropolis, taking the toll to 37, since the onset of monsoon.
According to civic officials, the two persons died in the last 24 hours. They succumbed to fever and gastroenteritis at the King Edward Memorial Hospital and the Nair Hospital respectively.
Since the rain started this year, nine people have succumbed to fever, 13 to leptospirosis, four to dengue, eight to malaria and one to gastroenteritis.
The dead included those who succumbed to various ailments in various private hospitals in the last two weeks, the official added.
