Three migrant labourers arrested for killing farmer
Moga, Jul 1 (UNI) Three migrant farm labourers, who were absconded after killing a farmer, were today arrested while they were trying to board a train from Mahesari Railway Station in district.
Disclosing this here Senior Superintendent of Police Ashok Baath said that the three accused identified as Arvind Kumar, Hans Ram and Banwari Lal, all from Uttar Pradesh, today confessed of committing the murder of Raghbir Singh of Daroli Bhai village on Sunday. Arvind used to work in the farms of Raghbir.
Arvind stated that on late Sunday evening all three went to the house of Raghbir Singh where they told Raghbir that another migratory labourer would be available to him and he must come to the tubewell at Rattian village to meet him.
Accordingly, two of them brought Raghbir Singh on his motor cycle to Rattian where they murdered him.
They left the tubewell leaving the body there when they saw a vehicle approaching to the tubewell.
They left on foot and the whole day of Monday they spent at different places in the fields and late Monday night they arrived at Mahesari railway station to catch a train to Ludhiana from where they had planned to go to Uttar Pradesh.
