N B Singh takes over as CBDT Chief
New Delhi, July 1 (UNI) Mr Narendra Bahadur Singh is the new Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
He joined his new office yesterday.
An officer of the 1971 batch of the Indian Revenue Service, Mr Singh was earlier Member (Personnel&Vigilance) in the CBDT.
He has served in various capacities in the Income Tax Department as Chief Commissioner in Mumbai and Baroda, and as Commissioner in Mumbai and Kolhapur.
A Post Graduate in Sanskrit, Mr Singh hails from Uttar Pradesh.
