Mahajan appointed CMD of Canara Bank

Bangalore, Jul 1 (UNI) Mr A C Mahajan today took over as the Chairman and Managing Director of the Public Sector Canara Bank here today.

Earlier, he was heading the Allahabad Bank for two years.

Mr Mahajan brings with him a rich and wide range of banking experience spread over a period of 36 years in various capacities including two foreign assignments.

According to an official release issued by the Bank he also holds the concurrent charge as the CMD of Industrial Investment Bank of India. Besides being a member of IBA Managing Committee, he is also on the standing committee of the IBA on Retail Banking, the release added.
