Four held for civic official's murder

Bhiwani, Jul 1 (UNI) The Haryana Police has arrested four persons in connection with the murder of Bhiwani Municipal Council Chairman Nand Lal Chawla.

This was stated by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda who visited Mr Chawla's residence here today to convey his sympathy to his family members.

Mr Chawla was shot dead by three motorcycle-borne assailants last week when he was about to get into his car, after coming out of a showroom n the city.

Mr Hooda said all those people who were involved in the conspiracy to kill the civic official would be arrested soon and the murder case would be solved at the earliest.

He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the three sons of Mr Chawla and assured justice to them.

He observed that Mr Nand Lal Chawla was a noble and simple man. He said he had lost an old associate and a dedicated party worker with the untimely death of Mr Chawla.
