Education City project to be launched in Sep: Hooda
Chandigarh, Jul 1 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the proposed Rajiv Gandhi Education City project would be launched in September at Kundli in Sonepat district where land had already been acquired for this ambitious project.
The Chief Minister was interacting with mediapersons after launching an incentive scheme for Scheduled Castes students and those belonging to BPL families here.
Mr Hooda said it would be mandatory for those setting up their units in this world class city to reserve 25 per cent seats for residents of Haryana.
They would also have to give full fee concession to 5 per cent students and 50 per cent fee concession to 10 per cent students. The remaining 10 per cent students would get 25 per cent concession.
He said reputed institutes of the world would set up their units in this education city.
