Eddie Murphy hanging up his acting shoes?

Washington, July 1 : Hollywood actor Eddie Murphy has hinted that he is planning to retire from the movie industry.

The 47-year-old actor believes that he has completed his part in films and now wants to go back to stage work

"Thirty years and I have close to 50 movies and it is like, Why am I in the movies? I've done that part now,'" Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"I'll go back to the stage and do stand-up," he added.

Meanwhile, Murphy is set to reprise his character Axl Foley, in an upcoming 'Beverly Hills Cop' movie from his successful franchise.
