DK wants early trial in Kanchi Acharyas case

Puducherry, July 1: The Dravidar Kazhagam (DK) here today held a demonstration at the Periyar Statue here in support of its demands.

The demands included expedition of the trial in the Sankararaman Murder Case in which Kanchi Acharyas Jayendra Saraswathi and Vijayendra Saraswathi were the prime accused.

Meanwhile, the Puducherry autorickshaw drivers and Owners Association, affiliated to both the CITU and the AITUC, took out a procession and held a demonstration before the Civil Supplies Department demanding the sale of ordinary petrol and diesel at the bunks here. CPI and CPI (M) Leaders also took part.
