Demo for Govt Medical College

Puducherry,July 1: Members of the Puducherry Medical College Students and Parents Association today held a demonstration before the head post office here to press their demands.

They were demanding the administration start the government medical college this year itself and the continuation of the Kamaraj Educational Assistance Scheme among other things.Five DMK legislators participated.

Meanwhile, members of the Scheduled Caste Peoples Social Justice Movement today observed a fast at Girimedu at Puducherry border demanding the setting up of an arch named after Dr Amebdkar at the entry point to the Union Territory and a statue of Poet Tamizholi here among other things.
