Deepak Gupta new secretary, MNRE

New Delhi, Jul 1 (UNI) Deepak Gupta, the 1974 batch IAS officer of Jharkhand Cadre, today took over charge of Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

According to an official release, before this, Mr Gupta was working as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. He also worked in the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Water Resources, Commerce and Industry and Ministry of Textiles.

Earlier, Mr Gupta had worked with World Health Organisation (WHO), the release said.
