DAN govt neutral to all factions
Kohima, Jul 01 The Nagaland Peoples Front (NPF), the major alliance partner of the ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN), has maintained that the DAN government has always advocated understanding, reconciliation and oneness among all underground groups.
Reacting on the allegation of general Khole Konyak, ''chief of the Naga army'' in NSCN(K), that the DAN government was partial and one-sided, NPF general secretary Dr Kath, in a release issued here today, said the DAN government had always maintained neutral position with regard to its approach to the peace process and the Naga political issue.
''Despite the fact that the state government is not a direct party to the ongoing peace process with the Centre and the NSCN factions, the DAN is sincere and dedicated in its role as an active facilitator and will continue to strive to bring lasting peace in the state,'' he said.
