Corporation bank launches 'CorpCompassion'

Mangalore, July 1(UNI) Public Sector Corporation Bank Chief General Manager M Narendra today launched a feature rich Savings Bank Account product called 'CorpCompassion' Briefing about the product, Bank General Manager A Mohan Rao said that the bank would donate Rs 10 for the underprivileged for every account opened under this scheme.

The campaign would be for 100 days. The bank had set a target of acquiring 10 lakh new customers during the campaign period, he said adding that on the opening day itself, the bank could open 15,000 accounts under the scheme.

He said that the bank had launched similar campaign last year for a period of 75 days which received overwhelming response. A record number of 3.60 lakh new accounts were opened during the period which was still remained active accounts. The bank had also donated Rs 36 lakh to 50 charitable institutions under CorpCompassion scheme.
