Centre does everything for upliftment of minority: Kanti
Dehiri-on-sone, Jul 1 (UNI) Union minister of state for Tourism and Culture Affairs Kanti Singh today said the Centre was making all efforts for upliftment of the minority community into mainstream of the country.
Addressing a function to mark the birth anniversay of Abdul Qayuum Ansari, Ms Singh said the Centre had announced vocational training in 65 trades for women of the minority community. Despite best efforts of the government, desired results in upliftment of the community would not be achieved unless there was strong urge among them, she added.
The Centre had released funds to the states for providing educational facilities to students of the minority community, she said adding the Centre had also initiated several measures on the basis of the recommendations of the Sachchar committee.
