Bengal pays tribute to Dr B C Roy
Kolkata, July 1 (UNI) The 126th birth and 46th death anniversaries of former West Bengal Chief Minister Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy was observed here today through various programmes.
Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee garlanded the statue of the legendary statesman-physician at the Writers' Buildings to pay his tributes while leaders of the Pradesh Congress Committee paid their respects to Dr. Roy at two separate programmes.
Different social organisations also held programmes to pay tributes to him.
