AP CM lays foundation stone for ACB building
Hyderabad, July 1 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today laid the foundation stone for the construction of state Anti-Corruption Bureau's (ACB) new Rs ten crore office building at the posh Banjara Hills Area in the city.
In his address, Dr Reddy said his government was committed to root out corruption in administration by bringing transparency in all the departments. People should also utilise the Right To Information (RTI) Act to curb corruption in the state administration.
Complimenting the ACB for making sustained efforts in promoting honesty, accountability and transparency among government servants, he said the ACB should be alert at all times to check growing corruption in some departments.
The building will be designed in an eco-friendly manner with minimum disturbance to existing rock formation at the site and aesthetically designed with latest architectural features and earthquake-resistant structural designs.
