175 tribal hostels to be set up in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, July 1 (UNI) Chhattisgarh government has given approval for establishment of 175 hostels for the 8,750 tribal students with the budget of Rs 8.44 crore in the current fiscal year, official sources said today.
Every hostel would comprised of 50 seats and in these hostels there would be 150 pre-matric and 25 post-matric level hostels. In pre-matric hostels 83 would be for boy students and 67 would be for girl students. Similarly, in post-matric hostels 11 would be built for boys and 14 for girls.
In this regard, the approval 700 posts have been created.
A total of 30 hostels in Sarguja, 26 in Raigarh, 20 in Jashpur, 19 in Bastar, 14 in Korba, 10 in Bilaspur, as many in Raipur, nine in South Bastar, as many in Dantewada, eight in Durg, as many in North Bastar, seven in Rajnandgaon, five in Mahasamund, as many in Koria, two in Kawardha and as many in Narayanpur district have been approved, sources added.
