Woman found murdered in cottage at Annavaram

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, June 30 (UNI) The dead body of a 65-year-old woman was found in the bathroom of a cottage near the holy shrine of Annavaram in a highly decomposed condition today.

Police said her hands were tied up with a rope and mouth gagged. The neck bore strangulation marks.

The woman had come to Annavaram along with a young couple on June 25 and took the cottage.

When foul smell started emanating from the cottage, the temple staff and the police broke open the door and found the body.

Police are trying to ascertain the identity of the dead woman.
