TTD to set up renal sciences institute

Tirumala, June 30 (UNI) To extend medical services to the suffering kidney patients, TTD trust board , in its board meeting today resolved to set up a Institute of Renal Sciences in Tirupati.

Addressing the press persons, after the board meeting, TTD Chairman B.Karunaka Reddy said the institute would be established with an estimated cost of Rs 100 crores and will be maintained by TTD alone.

In view of TTDs Amruthotsavam , TTD has taken decision to distribute 3 grms Copper dollars to all the visiting devotees at Tirumala during the 4-day event to be commenced from July 7, he said its board also taken decision to offer Rs 5000 along with 5 gram gold dollar to all the TTD Employees while Rs 1000 would be offered to retired employees as honour.

It also decided to write a letter to the government to audit TTD accodunts throughf Audit Controller General (ACG), he added.
