Sonia Gandhi 'anguished' over attack on Greyhounds jawans
Hyderabad, June 30 (UNI) AICC President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi today expressed anguish and concern over the naxal ambush on Greyhounds near river Sileru on Andhra-Orissa Border yesterday, resulting over 35 jawans going missing.
According to an official release here, Ms Sonia telephoned Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and asked him to intensify the search operations to trace the missing jawans.
She wanted the Chief Minister to extend maximum possible assistance to the kin of the cops killed in the ambush.
Dr Reddy assured Ms Gandhi of all possible measures in this regard.
Ms Sonia expressed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of the cops killed in the naxal attack.
