Son of former Bihar Minister shot dead

Katihar, Jun 30 (UNI) A gang of miscreants shot dead the son of former Bihar Education Minister Vasudeo Prasad Singh at the Barari police station area here.

Police today said the assailants fired indiscriminately at prominent lawyer Anil Singh while he was returning from Barari market last night and injured him seriously.

Mr Singh succumbed to his injuries during his treatment at the local referral hospital.

The motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained, the police said.

Meanwhile, protesting against the killing, the local people blocked the main road and staged dharna near Kalhagodha railway station following which several passenger as well as express trains were stranded at different places.
