Security gadgets to be installed at key places

Tirumala, June 30 (UNI) To strengthen the security at Tirumala, TTD trust board in its meeting today resolved to install modernized scanners at footpath ways and at ghat road between Tirupati-Tirumala.

After the board meeting, addressing the press persons, TTD trust board Chairman B.Kaurnakara Reddy said the highly sophisticated equipment will scan all banned items including tobacco related products, liquor, meat and explosive materials.

It may be noted, the state government had already taken decision to deploy 2000 special protection force in a phased manner at Tirumala as a part to strengthen the security at tirumala hills, the abode of lord Venkateswara Swamy.

Earlier, TTD Chairman Mr Reddy inaugurated the one rupee instant water near Nitya Annadhanam complex and later also introduced plain dal and ghee system in Nitya Annadhanam system under this providing free meals to the all visiting devotees at Tirumala.
