Puducherry Senior Town Planner suspended

Puducherry, June 30 (UNI) Puducherry Senior Town Planner Sreedharan was today suspended from service for alleged irregularities.

Sreedharan had forged the signature of the member secretary, Town Planning, for allotting some towers to Airtel some time back and the vigilance and anti-corrouption police had registered a case against him but then he went absconding.

Sridharan, who obtained an anticipatory bail from the Madras High Court, later joined duty and was functioning as the senior town planner. In the meantime, DMK legislator Rajaraman had raised the issue in the last session of the Assembly and wanted him to be arrested and the administration suspended him from service.
