Padmapriya case : Atul Rao in Judicial custody

Bangalore, Jun 30: Atul Rao, who was arrested in connection with the death of Padmapriya, wife of Karnataka BJP MLA B Raghupathi Bhat, was remanded to judicial custody till July 9.

The police team investigating the alleged suicide by Padmapriya, who had gone missing from her house in the state on June 11 and whose body was found in an apartment in Delhi four days later, had taken Rao to Delhi for probe.

The police began the probe after Bhat lodged a complaint against Rao in connection with the death of his wife. Atul Rao a close friend of Padmapriya's husband and Udupi BJP MLA K Raghupathy Bhat.
