More transfers in Raj ahead of Assembly polls
Jaipur, Jun 30 (UNI) In yet another administrative reshuffle ahead of the Assembly elections in Rajasthan, 38 officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) have been transferred.
The transfer orders issued last night, has effected changes at a number of key posts, including that of Principal Home Secretary.
As per the orders, Principal Secretary Water Resources Department S N Thanvi, who had won accolades for his role in dealing with the Gujjar agitation and related negotiations with Gujjar leaders, has been given the prized posting as Principal Secretary (Home).
Present Principal Secretary (Home) V S Singh will now succeed Mr Thanvi in Water Resources Department.
Mr Singh was holding post of Principal Secretary (Home) for over two years.
Prior to this, the state government had transferred 276 officers of Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) late Saturday night.
