Man from Kerala held at Nagpur for using fake passport
Nagpur, Jun 30 (UNI) Police arrested a person, hailing from Kerala, for travelling to a foreign country on the basis of a fake passport,here today.
The accused, Moiuddin Mohammed Kunni (22), resident of Kasargod district in Kerala, possessed a passport in the name of Bhonde Shenu. He used the passport to travel from Nagpur to Dubai over the weekend, police said.
The authorities at Dubai airport detected that the passport was forged, and deported him back to Nagpur, which was the emigration point, along with a written report, police said.
On the basis of the report, the offence was registered under sections 417, 419, 420, 4645, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 12 (B) of the Passport Act, they added.
