Lego employee sets record for largest assembly of Star Wars figures
London, June 30 : An employee of toy manufacturer Lego has set the record for the largest assembly of the company's Star Wars figures.
Gathering a total of 35,310 stormtroopers from the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars film helped set this record, which forms part of Lego's 50th anniversary celebrations.
All proceeds from the attempt went to the National Autistic Society, reports Times Online.
Another record was recently created by thousands of children and their families as they built a a 100ft tower at the Legoland theme park in Berkshire, using about 500,000 Lego bricks.
The structure was designed to resemble a Viking longboat mast, to mark the opening of the Land of the Vikings feature.
