Incentive for school enrolment
Bhopal, June 30(UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced an incentive scheme to ensure cent percent enrolment of children in schools in the new academic year beginning tomorrow.
''The parent-teacher association of those total literate villages will be given incentive of Rs 10,000 each for educational tour'', he said in a message, adding those villages achieving 100 percent enrolment of 5 to 14 year age children in schools will be considered total literate.
Stressing the need for a literate society to take Madhya Pradesh to the rank of developed state, Mr Chouhan said the government was giving text book free of cost to all school students, besides bicycles to girls studying in middle and high schools away from their villages.
