Home guard volunteers duty allowance increased
Lucknow, Jun 30 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today increased the daily duty allowance of Home Guard volunteers to Rs 126 per day on duty anywhere in the state.
Till now the home guards volunteers were being paid Rs 100 per day for duty in home districts and Rs 105 per day in other districts.
Home guards work more than the skilled labourers and equal to police constables. They were, however, getting a duty allowance less than that of a skilled labourer.
Taking a serious note of it, the Chief Minister decided to hike the home guards volunteers' daily allowance.
