Farmer committed suicide in Gulbarga district

Gulbarga, Jun 29 (UNI) Unable to bear the brunt of the burden of debt, a farmer was allegedly committed suicide in Bhuganahalli village in Afzalpur district today.

Police said that the deceased Malleshappa Mallanapujari (60) had borrowed Rs one lakh from private money lenders to dug a well in his field which however failed to yield water.

Dejected over failure of the well the farmer reportedly committed suicide and decided to end his life.
