Centre extends Suspension of Operations agreement with DHD

New Delhi, Jun 30 (UNI) The Suspension of Operations (SOO) agreement with the Dima Halam Daogah (DHD), a militant outfit operating in Assam, has been extended by six months beyond July 1, 2008.

The extension follows a tripartite meeting among the representatives of the Union Government, Assam Government and DHD on June 23. The SOO agreement between DHD and the security forces has been in operation since January 2003.
