Call assembly I will prove majority: Azad
Srinagar, Jun 30: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday, June 30 said although he enjoyed the full confidence of the House even after Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) pulled out of the Congress-led coalition in the state, he wanted to prove the majority on the floor of the House.
In a letter to Governor N N Vohra, Mr Azad said he has offered to prove his majority on the floor of the House any time decided by the Governor.The Chief Minister said though he continued to enjoy the support of the majority of members he was ready to prove it on the floor of the House in keeping with the highest traditions of Parliamentary democracy and to dispel any misgivings on this account.
