3 Kolhapur ZP employees suspended in medical scam
Kolhapur, June 30 (UNI) Three Kolhapur Zilla Parishad employees were today suspended for their alleged involvement in a Rs 2.59 lakh medical scam.
The three employees include two pharmacists and a clerk, ZP sources said. Two employees had already been suspended earlier in this scam.
The employees were suspended after a committee, headed by ZP member Sangram Kupekar, submitted its report on the scam to the House today.
The report has implicated a total of ten persons, including District Health Officer (DHO), Additional DHO and Assistant DHO.
The committee, in its report, has recommended immediate transfer or suspension of the implicated employees and recovery of the amount from their salaries.
