TN Minister's daughter dies

Chennai, Jun 29: Tamil Nadu Cooperatives Minister Ko Si Mani's daughter Pushpa died at a hospital here last evening, after a brief illness.

Pushpa died at the Royapettah Government Hospital, where she was admitted.

She is survived by her husband, an officer in the Tourism Department, and two sons.

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi went to Pushpa's residence and paid his last respects.

State Ministers Arcot N Veeraswami and K Ponmudy also paid their homage after which the body was taken to her native village in Thanjavur, where the last rites were performed today.
