Prez to visit Tirumala on July 6
Tirupati, June 29 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil will be paying a two-day visit to Tirupati and Tirumala from July six in connection with the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
President Patil will arrive at the Renigunta Airport by special aircraft at around 1715 hrs on July six and reach Tirumala Hills at 1805 hrs where she would stay overnight, according to officials sources here today.
The next day, the President and her family will participate in the morning rituals at the Sri Venkateswara Temple and launch the TTD's Sri Venkateswara Bhakthi Channel (SBC).
She would lay the foundation for the Rs 300 crore project to construct a huge Amenities Complex and an 'Nithya Annadanam' Complex atop the hill, she will motor down to Tirupati where she would inaugurate the Oriental College Building.
After inaugurating the four-day TTD Diamond Jubilee Celebrations and participating in the first convocation of the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati, she would leave for Renigunta Airport at around 1320 hrs from where she will proceed to Mumbai by the special aircraft, the sources added.
